On the day this exhibition opened I had been alive for 19119 days. I take each day at a time. This exhibition contains 19119 days of experiences.

The pictures are mostly made using ProCreate on the iPad. For me, working in this way seems very natural and intuitive. I assemble photographs taken over many years with drawn and painted imagery to create both digital and hand made pictures.

Thanks to Bundanon for giving me the space and the time and to Georgia for her inspiration. For me this is the most important work that I have made in twenty years.

All profits from this exhibition went towards the Scarlet’s Fund. Scarlet’s Fund has been established to support young artists and arts projects in communities. Funds raised from this show will support an arts literacy project in East Timor in 2013.
